To start us off, we’re delighted to introduce Lisa Cordi, Managing Director of Elite Care, who provide everyday NDIS support and aged care services across NSW.
Hi Lisa, tell us a bit about your team
The Elite Care Central Coast & NSW team’s passion for this industry comes from both personal life and professional journeys. We see firsthand the challenges families face when someone they love is living with disability or complex mental health, and that’s why Elite Care was born, to be a valued and meaningful resource to our participants and their families or safe people around them.
Our team is made up of genuinely caring people who believe that support is about much more than simply turning up to a shift. We build relationships, create trust, and walk alongside people through some of the hardest chapters of their lives. We laugh together, celebrate the little wins, and never lose sight of the fact that we’re privileged to be invited into someone’s home and life.
What sort of services do you offer?
Elite Care is probably best known for our psychosocial disability supports. That’s where our passion started, and over the years we’ve built a strong reputation for supporting people living with complex mental health, anxiety, schizophrenia and psychosocial disabilities.
Over the past four years, we’ve also worked really hard to build a skilled, experienced and professional team. Because of that, we’re now able to support people with a wide range of physical support needs as well. Our clients in this space often tell us they appreciate the genuine care, consistency and personalised approach we bring. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model, we take the time to understand each person and what matters most to them.
Alongside our NDIS services, we also provide aged care supports, helping older Australians remain living safely, confidently and independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
Whether someone needs in-home support, community access, skill building, respite, Supported Independent Living (SIL), or aged care services, our focus is always the same: delivering support that builds independence, creates meaningful relationships, and helps people live the life they want.
Why do people come to you for help?
People come to us because they know we’ll genuinely listen.
Many of the families we work with are exhausted. They’ve often had providers come and go, they’ve lost confidence in the system, and they’re simply looking for someone they can trust.
We don’t believe in ticking boxes. We take the time to understand the person, work collaboratively with families and health professionals, and create supports that actually make a difference. Our goal is to help families become families again—not full-time support workers.
What’s the goal or overall aspiration you have for your customers?
Our biggest goal is for people to live the life they want, not the life we think they should have.
If we can help someone remain living successfully in their own home, reconnect with family, build confidence, learn new skills, reduce anxiety, or simply enjoy life again, then we’ve done our job.
We want every person we support to become less reliant on services over time because they’ve gained the confidence and skills to live more independently.
How important is a tailored approach in your work?
It’s everything.
No two people are the same, so why would their supports be?
We spend time getting to know the individual, what motivates them, what they’re struggling with, what success looks like to them, and what barriers are getting in the way. From there, we build supports around the person, not around a roster or a standard program. That’s where the real outcomes happen.
What’s something that people should know about your services that most people don’t know?
People are often surprised by how much time we invest outside of billable hours.
We’re constantly collaborating with families, allied health professionals, support coordinators, and other services because we know the best outcomes happen when everyone is working together.
We also genuinely celebrate people’s achievements. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter most; building confidence, creating meaningful experiences, or simply reminding someone that they’re valued. Those moments aren’t always written into a support plan, but they can completely change someone’s journey.
What advice would you have for someone wanting more information?
It all starts with a phone call.
We simply have a conversation. We take the time to listen, understand your situation, answer your questions, and see whether Elite Care is the right fit for you or your loved one.
From there, we organise a meet and greet. We believe it’s important that everyone feels comfortable before supports begin. It’s an opportunity to meet the team, get to know each other, and make sure it feels right.
For us, trust isn’t built in one conversation, it’s built through consistency, communication, and genuinely caring once services commence. We take the time to understand what matters most to each person so we can carefully match them with a team that is not only skilled and professional but also warm, compassionate, and someone they can genuinely trust.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to provide support that feels like the right fit from the very beginning and continues to grow into a trusted relationship over time.
